Question: Is it okay to change rates mid order? Will previous spots at higher rates still come up as such when we invoice in a couple of weeks?
Yes you can change rates mid-order but the new rate(s) will be applied only to invoices issued after the change If the lower rates are entered mid-cycle and you want the next invoice to show the higher rates for all plays before the discount was entered but the lower rates afterward then you need to issue two invoices as follows:
1. Issue an invoice for the order from the Pending list before you enter the discount. That will bill all plays up through the day before you issue the invoice at the original price.
2. Enter the discount.
3. When a regular invoice for the order shows up in the Ready list the day after the end of the billing period, the first of the month in most cases, issue that invoice and all plays will be billed at the discounted rate.
